Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
Like all NSW public schools, we provide a safe learning and teaching environment to encourage healthy, happy, successful and productive students.
We are committed to creating quality learning opportunities for children and young people. These opportunities support wellbeing through positive and respectful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging to the school and community.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this by ensuring:
- programs that are targerted and differentiated to meet academic, social and emotional needs
- teachers help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- school staff working in partnership with parents
- health care plans for students are in place and current
- open communication about wellbeing and support is maintained
